West Bengal will go under a lockdown for 14 days beginning on 16th May

The Mamata Banerjee-led Bengal govt declared that West Bengal will go under a close to lockdown for about fourteen days beginning on the 16th of May. Hoping to control the spread of Coronavirus diseases, all workplaces, and educational institutions will be closed down during this period. Indeed, even transport vehicle services, including Kolkata Metro, will stop. The lockdown will become effective from 6 am from tomorrow until 6 pm on the 30th of May.

Just important and emergency services will be permitted to work inside this state lockdown. All the Private and Govt schools, universities, colleges, ITI, and other places will likewise stay shut. Commercial activities not associated with important goods or Coronavirus-related materials will be limited. And keep in mind that tea gardens have not been put under this kind of limitations, just half of the labor force will be working in the tea gardens.

“Every private vehicle activity, taxi & auto will be suspended from 16th May. Every single open-air action, with the exception of crisis needs, will be denied from 9 pm till 5 am,” he added. Further, all scholarly, social, managerial, political, and strict get-togethers will likewise stay restricted. Not in excess of fifty persons will be permitted in the marriage ceremony.

All markets and shops specially vegetables, organic products, milk, and bread will stay open from 7 to 10 am. The sweet shops between 10 to 5 pm. The loaded trucks inside the state will likewise be confined. Just trucks and vehicles conveying important supplies will be permitted to employ ordinarily.

Different vehicles like private vehicles, taxis, autorickshaws won’t be permitted to go on the roads and streets except if for essential purposes. A wide range of open-air exercises have been restricted between 9 pm and 5 am also. No movement of individuals and vehicles will be permitted during the lockdown time. Private and Govt Banks also will just work for restricted hours, from 10 am to 2 pm.
