SP Balasubrahmanyam no more, passes away at 74 in Chennai

Legendary playback singer SP Balasubrahmanyam no more, dies at 74. The man who was well known as Balu and also entrancing millions of people with his amazing voice , that person is no more today.He had understood his symptoms initially and was being home quarantine and after that on 5 august he was admitted to MGM hospital in Chennai after testing positive for COVID-19. On August 15 he was on life support because of infection that inflames air sacs in one or both lungs, which may fill with fluid.

During September’s first week , his son had told the health status of his father and that was good. He was actively participating in his physiotherapy session. The MGM health care also informed that he was stable but was still on ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) and with ventilator support. On September 13 he tested negative of novel coronavirus. A specialist team of MGM health care was continuously monitoring his health and the team was also connected with the international doctors from USA and UK.

SP Balasubrahmanyam health statement

Balasubrahmanyam’s friends and family came together to pray for recovery of his health. Famous tamil celebrities like Kamal Haasan, Rajnikanth, AR Rahman and others give special wishes to him for his speedy recovery. MGM healthcare assistant director DR Anuradha Baskaran released a statement that,”SP Balasubrahmanyam’s health condition was extremely critical.” The next day he died. SP Balasubrahmanyam has two kids, Pallavi and SP Charan.

Anil Kapoor said,”Great human being and an incredible singer and lucky to have had him dubbed for me, give his voice to my performances in my first Telugu and Kannada film , my heartfelt condolences prayers to the family”.

In his career, he had recorded more than 40,000 songs in many Indian languages.He made a record of Guinness world record. He was such a talented person. He had worked as a music director , singer, dubbing artist and also plays actor role in several movies. He had won the Padma Shri in 2001and Padma Bhushan in 2011. He worked in many film industries like Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, Malayalam. Some of his famous songs like Nenje Neje, Poo Pookum Oosai and many more. He also had won six National Awards.
