The Bharatiya Janata Party is holding a roadshow in South Kolkata notwithstanding the Kolkata Police force not conceding authorization to the BJP for the roadshow.

Bharatiya Janata Party’s Dilip Ghosh had before stated that Sovan Chatterjee will lead the roadshow in South Kolkata on 4th January in spite of the police not giving authorization for it. “From our past encounters, we realize that the police retains authorization for Bharatiya Janata Party roadshow programs. This is a peaceful roadshow to invite Sovan Chatterjee to his new post. We will take out the meeting in spite of the Kolkata police not giving consent for it,” he added.

As Kolkata police referred to the chance of big traffic jams if the convention is taken out on Monday, Bharatiya Janata Party pioneers held a gathering at Sovan Chatterjee’s home on 3rd January and chose to proceed with the roadshow program.
