Farmers are protesting against farm bills, Tractor set on fire at India Gate

In Delhi , around 7:25 – 7:35 AM 15 to 20 people gathered near the India Gate, Rajpath. They set a tractor on fire. Those people were also raised slogans of “Jai Jawan Jai Kishan” . Then immediately Delhi police reached the incident area and they were trying to extinguish the fire and control room called the fire department team around 7:40 AM. After that the tractor has been removed and police were trying to identify those men. Delhi Police deployed additional police force in this area to prevent such kind of incidents.

In the last week Delhi Police increased his security protocol in the Delhi border. They have barricaded the area so that farmers could not enter with tractor in Delhi.

The Indian Govt passed 3 farm bills for the farmer – 1) Farmer’s Produce Trade and Commerce Bill, 2020 2) Farmers Agreement with Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill,2020 3) Essential Commodities Bill, 2020. Farmers are protesting against these bills. In Punjab, the farmers called for a “Rail Roko” protest and also they blocked several roads. Several trains were cancelled because farmers were protesting on the railway tracks.

In Karnataka , farmers also have called for a “bandh” against the bills. The opposition parties requested the Ram Nath Kovind to not sign the bills. In parliament the opposition parties also blame that the bills were passed through voice voting and that was also a violation. Harvansh Singh told that opposition parties were not in their seats that’s why the deputy chairman canceled the physical voting.
