CRPF’s elite force Commando CoBRA Commando Rakeshwar Singh Manhas was kidnapped by Naxalite–Maoists during the deadly gunfight on the border of Bijapur and Sukma districts occurrence on the 3rd of April. According to the inputs have now affirmed that Commando Battalion for Resolute Action’s Commando has been delivered by the Naxals.
The gunfight occurred when somewhere in the range of 2,000 jawans of security forces were on the chase for a Naxal leader in the Bijapur district on the 3rd of April. During the gunfight, the Naxals took guns from the dead soldiers, ammo, outfits, and also shoes.
On the 6th of April, the prohibited Naxals gave an assertion saying its units had kidnapped CoBRA commando Rakeshwar Singh Manhas from the ambush place and requested that the govt delegate mediators to guarantee his secure delivery.
Rakeshwar’s wife Meenu had told the govt to guarantee the secure return of her husband. Family members of Jawans and others had organized an Andolan on 7th April. Peoples had blocked the National Highway 144A.

Jawan’s wife stated that “He is the obligation of the Govt, which should make a quick move to guarantee his secure return to the family. We need the Govt to illuminate us about the move it is making for his free. Scrutinizing the Govt’s quietness on the issue she also stated that, “If a soldier is late to answer to work by only 1 day after leave, strict action is made against him, yet here he is absent since 2 days and no one is thinking about it.”
“We are worried about his protection. The Maoists made a case and furthermore came out with a statement, and now the Govt should search for a mediator to bring him back safely”. Jawan’s wife Meenu said thanks to the Govt. “Today is the most joyful day of my life. I generally stayed confident of his safe return. I thank the Govt”.
