Australian Cricketer Dean Jones, dies of sudden cardiac arrest, age 59

Australian Cricketer Dean Jones , passes away at the age of 59. He has been working as a broadcaster in the IPL. Dean Jones was in South Mumbai at a hotel and after finishing his breakfast, he was joining a session for the IPL broadcaster and was talking to the staff members, but after that he suddenly falls down around 12 PM on Thursday. Immediately his colleagues called the ambulance and take him to the nearest hospital in the city, Harkisandas Hospital.

He was a great commentator in the IPL. He was well known as “Professor Deano”. Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and many players give their condolences. It is a very shocking news, we could not see him in the future. He was a also a part of famous tied test match between India and Australia in Chidambaram Stadium. It is a historic tied test. In this test match he had scored a marvelous 210 runs against India. Dean Jones played 52 test series including 11 centuries. The doctors team of the hospital declared him dead. Brett Lee and Dean Jones they were together at breakfast time, Lee was also giving him CPR but he couldn’t save him. He was also played 164 ODI’s for Australia. His total score of ODI’s match is 6,068 runs including 7 centuries and 46 half centuries. He made his first ODI debut in Adelaide against Pakistan.

The former Australian Legend, Dean Jones was coached in the Pakistan Super League and he guided two teams Karachi Kings and Islamabad United in 2016 and 2018. Those two teams won titles in the respective year under the coaching of Dean Jones.

Broadcaster Star India has released a statement that ,”It is great sadness that we share the news of the passing away of Mr. Dean Mervyn Jones AM. He died of a sudden cardiac arrest. We express our deep condolences to his family and stand ready to support them in this difficult time. We are in touch with the Australian High Commission to make the necessary arrangements.”

Dean Was a great player and he was always passionate about searching for new talent in the young cricketers, and his commentating style gives many fans millions of joys. He was such a great person. We will miss you Dean Jones.
